Klay - Mr Nobody Band

KLAY

Guitar & Vocals

Klay’s first musical memory was around 6 years old playing a sibling’s ukulele and singing a single line over and over being quite proud of the song he’d written. The first instrument of his very own was a bass guitar at age 12. He’d plug in to his sister's accordion amp, reverb on high, running sharp metal objects up and down strings. While that was fun and educational for a while, he soon realized guitar was where it was at. He’d just seen Cheap Trick live on TV and was absolutely mesmerized by Rick Nielson’s antics while not missing a single note! The impact of this great music with this bonkers high-energy guy on guitar! How could there ever be one without the other!?!? This was the musical epiphany that sent Klay to have a guitar around his neck wherever he could get away with it. Most other interests faded into the background.

The first band he’d started with friends in Heber City was finally getting some traction, so when the singer quit, he was devastated. Determined to avoid being in that position ever again, he immediately began learning to sing. Soon after, he started learning bass, record engineering, live sound engineering, and taught guitar. He’s built multiple studios and worked with a number local artists recording and running live sound including his own bands. Klay has had the good fortune to play with many brilliant musicians over the years in venues such as, Heber Valley Concerts, Fire On The Water, Deer Valley Snow Park Stage, Orem Freedom Festival, and many others. At home musically in front of a microphone, pouring his heart out, guitar in hand with this group of musical friends, Mr. Nobody will make you shake, sing and sweat along!
